Barbara Goodman has lived in East Rockaway her entire life. She went to Centre Avenue School, East Rockaway Junior Senior High School. She graduated Nassau Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts and then attended Queens College where she graduated with a B.A. in English. She has been a title searcher for 35 years. She worked for an abstract company for 12 years before working for Nassau County. She was a title searcher for The Treasurer's Office for 6 1/2 years and then for 9 years in the Department of Assessment. She worked in the private for 6 years. She had West Highland White Terriers for 30 years, but is now very much interested in rescue animals, and has supported Last Hope in Wantagh where she got her doggie. She rescued a hound mix by the name of Dexter 6 1/2 years ago.
