Cheryl Yohai
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Welcome to my world, where I live, work, and play on Long Island! My journey began at eight when my family relocated from California to Midwood, Brooklyn, and then The Five Towns. Growing up, I had the privilege of joining my stepfather at Boro Kitchen & Bath Design, where he specialized in projects for Levitt homes. After attending Finch College in Manhattan for Art and Design, I ventured into real estate, obtaining my license in 1981 amidst mortgage rates as high as 16%-18%. With a baby girl to care for, I seized a life-changing opportunity to work full-time at The Pennysaver in Rockville Centre, eventually transitioning into a successful 40+-year career as an Executive Advertising Consultant at Newsday.
Throughout my career, I've honed my skills in sales, negotiations, and Internet marketing, earning the respect of my peers through hard work and ethical conduct. In 2001, I found my dream home in Huntington Bay, and after years of renovations, I can truly say, “There is No Place Like Home”! Outside of work, you'll find me enjoying various activities including running, kayaking, gardening, yoga, and indulging my passion for cooking gourmet meals for loved ones.
Giving back to my community is also important, as I volunteer at the Townwide Fund of Huntington. In today's thriving real estate market, with low inventory and high demand, you need a creative professional to help you navigate.
