Lorraine Darcy
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
As a Long Island, NY native, I have intimate knowledge of the area and a strong desire to make my home, your home.
Being a mom to a special needs daughter has taught me great patience and empathy in working with all different people and personalities. My daughter is non-verbal so “listening” to her wants and needs is challenging but it is a skill I have been able to hone over the last twenty years. This asset truly assists me in the real estate business whether communicating with buyers or sellers.
I worked at a property management company where I learned many facets of purchasing and owning a home as well as the challenges that can come with home ownership. As an administrative assistant, I worked with a variety of people which continued to develop my patience and confidence in speaking up and asking questions. These traits definitely overlap with being a real estate agent. Knowledge is power.
Here in Merrick, where I live, many people who grew up here stayed. Like me! I attended the local schools and graduated from Hofstra University. When my children were young, I was very involved in the PTA and worked for the Chamber of Commerce for ten years. I have always been an advocate for “giving back to the community” and am currently on the Parent Advisory Board of the Camp Anchor Program Fund. Long Island fosters a wonderful sense of community and pride.
