Long Island Halloween Events 2020

Halloween season is here! There are pumpkins to pick, spooky movies to watch & plenty of safe Halloween happenings across Long Island. Whether you’re in the mood to be booed or looking for something kid-friendly, there is plenty of fun to be had this Halloween. We’ve compiled a list of the best Halloween events on Long Island happening through Halloween weekend 2020.

 

Howl-O-Ween Pumpkin Beer Tasting

Enjoy pumpkin-flavored beers, food, costumes, dogs, and more at this outdoor dog-friendly event.

Haunted Hatchery

Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium

Families are welcome to join in this not-so-scary haunted hatchery visit and trick-or-treat through their outdoor grounds.

The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

Old Bethpage Village Restoration

1303 Round Swamp Rd, Old Bethpage

Thousands of hand-carved pumpkins illuminate Old Bethpage Village Restoration. Stroll through the pumpkin path at this outdoor event and find larger than life displays complete with synchronized lighting and an original soundtrack.

Spooky Fest at The Center for Science Teaching and Learning

The Center for Science Teaching and Learning

1450 Tanglewood Rd, Rockville Centre

This event takes place at the Tanglewood Preserve and features fun for the whole family. There is a Not-So-Spooky walk and arts and crafts area for the younger kids and a Scary walk through the haunted woods.

Immersive drive through horror experience with over 40 live actors performing during the 30-minute attraction.

Milleridge Halloween Village

The Milleridge Inn

This annual haunted Halloween village features activities like a haunted house, tarot reader, pumpkin patch, spooky rides, a magician, stilt walker and face painting. Reservations are required and can be made online.

Hours: Fridays 4:00pm-6:30pm & 7:30pm-10:00pm, Saturdays 12:00pm-2:30pm, 3:30pm-6:00pm, & 7:00pm-9:30pm and Sundays 12:00pm-2:30pm & 3:30pm-6:00pm

F&W Schmitt’s Family Farm

This must-attend attraction features a haunted house, corn trail, and more. Tickets are sold in 30-minute time slots and must be purchased in advance.

Hours: 7 p.m.-midnight Fridays-Saturdays Oct. 23-24, 30-31, 7-11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Oct. 29, 7-10 p.m.

This haunted scavenger hunt takes you through haunted locations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Once you are registered you can start and finish anytime. All proceeds for this event will benefit Melissa’s Wish, a local Long Island charity.
